Updated Oct. 28: Bean Town Brief is standing up its first static site shell on Hostinger. This page is the story template, not a finished report.
Readers in Greater Boston and across Massachusetts get a modern homepage with multiple panels, and a writing format built around Quick Read summaries. The goal is a paper that feels local without copying another brand.
What we cover first
Education is a lead beat: campuses, research, K-12 alerts, and workforce pipelines that affect families and employers. International coverage focuses on facts Massachusetts readers can use, with a local angle when one exists. Science and tech covers biotech, climate science, AI, and research that makes this region different, without thin gadget filler.
What stays quieter for now
Politics stays light until the audience is clearer. Metro coverage for Suffolk, Middlesex, and Norfolk publishes when a story clears the quality bar. Sports desks for the Celtics, Red Sox, Revolution, and Patriots start after cadence is set. Weather and roads posts follow NWS Boston and MassDOT for major warnings or multi-hour closures only.
How stories are built
Every story opens with Quick Read: three or four fact bullets, no teasers. Headlines end with the publish date in parentheses, AP style, unless the date is already in the headline. Related stories link to two or three other posts on this site. Affiliate disclosures sit at the bottom only.
